First, what we hold
Nothing at all. Pictures, videos and account data never get stored here. A visitor types a handle, and their browser asks an outside data source for it. That source grabs whatever the account is showing strangers right then. Close the tab and nothing is left on our end. So there is no file for us to erase. We also have no toggle for keeping one handle or one post away from visitors.
So where does a takedown work?
On Instagram. Delete the post or the story, or lock the account, and it stops loading here in the same moment. The outside source can only fetch what Instagram hands to everybody. Not the owner? Use Instagram’s own reporting tools. Its Help Centre accepts copyright claims as well, and those are what pull things off the platform.

For DMCA purposes, include the work itself, the handle or address where it turns up, a statement, made in good faith, that nobody authorised it, your sworn word that all of it is true (lying there is perjury), and a way back to you. Is it about our own writing or graphics? Then we fix it. Is it about something sitting on Instagram? Then our answer sends you back to the section above.
If you think a takedown was wrong
Did a notice make us remove something of ours, and you think it got that wrong? Send a counter-notice. Include your details, the material, and your reasons. It goes on to whoever filed the original request.
